LWN301: EKG Review 1: Characteristics and Interventions

Course Abstract:

Electrocardiography is the making of graphic records of the variations in electrical potential caused by electrical activity of the heart muscle and detected at the body surface, as a method for studying the action of the heart muscle. At the conclusion of this review course, participants will understand

1) the basic EKG vocabulary,
2) the EKG waveform,
3) some of the characteristics of a normal EKG, and
4) some characteristics of selected abnormal EKGs.
